Fabrics of Africa: Digital Weaving

Digital Weaving was developed in collaboration with KANEKO in support of Fabrics of Africa: Weaving Culture and Community.

Digital Weaving allows guests to sign in and answer questions about themselves at multiple stations throughout a gallery showcasing African textiles. The answers are then aggregated to procedurally generate a digital textile unique to each guest. The digital textiles are then projected onto a wall and “stitched” into a continuously scrolling tapestry composed of all the completed textiles.
