Kernelcon 2026 - Hilton Convention Center, Omaha, NE
Provided audio-visual support for Kernelcon 2026. Kernelcon is the Midwest’s premier convention for information security professionals, often dubbed the “DEF CON of the Midwest”. IO provided logistical and hardware consultation, testing, and trained personnel to transport, deploy, and operate A/V equipment to the convention center. Personnel maintained audio and video services across three venues running concurrent talks.

UNMC Holographic Theater - UNMC iExcel at Davis Global Center
Provided engineering and labor in support of UNMC replacing the aging transparent mylar screen used to achieve the “Pepper’s Ghost” effect for iExcel’s Holographic Theater.
Pepper’s Ghost effect is achieved by projecting an image onto an angled transparent and reflective material to achieve a holographic optical illusion. A large-scale version of this was constructed in the Davis Global Center using large-format displays embedded in the floor reflecting onto a large, stretched, transparent sheet of mylar. The mylar had become distorted over time, requiring replacement. Interactive Omaha took on the logistics and execution of the replacement process, from planning to hanging the final product successfully.
